Nikos Zahariadis

Nikolaos Zahariadis was born in 1962 in Thessaloniki. He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a B.Sc in Physics from the same university.

He began his career in 1983 in waste water treating business and in 1986 he joined EKO (today Hellenic Petroleum S.A.) as a Chemical Engineer in Thessaloniki refinery.

He worked as a process engineer, and then, from 1998 to 2004, as Section Head in Operation and later in Technical Services. From 2005 until 2016 he had a major role in decision making processes concerning the refinery, working as Technical Services Manager and later as Refinery Operation Manager. During 2014-2016, he was the Director of the Thessaloniki Refinery and Petrochemical Industrial Complex.

From 2007 until 2016 he assumed also senior management positions as member of Board of Directors in various companies in different sectors.

From 2014 until 2016, he served on the BoD of DIAXON S.A. - the HELPE Group’s BOPP film production company – where he became CEO in 2014. On January 2017 he undertook the position of the Executive Chairman of ELPEDISON, while on June 2018 he was assigned as the CEO of the Company.
