ELPEDISON was the Platinum Sponsor of the 4th Power & Gas Forum, organized by energypress and held on 22 and 23 March at the Wyndham Grand Athens. ELPEDISON's CEO, Mr. N. Zachariadis, participated in the panel entitled "The geopolitical background behind the energy price spike - Winners and losers of the crisis - Predictions for the next day of the markets - The role of LNG", along with other influential personalities of the energy sector. In his presentation-speech entitled "The energy crisis and the role of LNG", Mr. Zachariadis stressed out, among other things, that the energy crisis is not over and that investments in the Natural Gas sector are needed immediately. Furthermore, he noted that the European Union's decisions on decarbonization have led to additional needs for importing natural gas into the European market.
At the same time, the Energy Management Director of ELPEDISON, Mr. A. Petropouleas, participated in the panel "Target Model: Electricity markets and gas trading pedestal on the Energy Exchange", highlighting - among other things - the fact that the Greek market is regulated, while gas fees and taxes burden suppliers and consumers.
